"Things are not always what they seem" - Phaedrus
Even common spaces in our everyday lives transform in front of our eyes with our personal perceptions. A public bathroom is a good example, as it is a familiar space for all. Upon first entry the user will use all of their senses. They check the cleanliness, the pathway, the lighting and even the smell of the space. The user will then plan their route accordingly.
This installation displays augmented realities of a public bathroom using a 60x60x60 model white bathroom, projection mapping, live footage, photographs and After Effects. The setting flickers and distorts, altering what we first assumed to be absolute.
