M.A. Thesis - Media Spaces

This installation is an audio/visual site-specific work, focusing on the topic of human behavior. The work deals with social issues regarding public harassment. The female population in particular experiences public harassment (from verbal to physical) on a daily basis. This installation prompts the participant to acknowledge their surroundings, questioning their personal safety and highlighting their sense of awareness. The specific site is an underpass as it contains certain architectural and environmental factors, which contribute to the installation's topic.

In order to visualize this concept I used:
3 × Raspberry Pi Model B+,
3 × Video cameras,
3 × PIR sensors,
3 × Light sources,
1 Set of speakers,
3 × Analogue televisions,
Power generator,
Python script
